Amazon Artist Residency

Starting the 3rd week of my residency at Amazon, Seattle for the Expressions Program. The focus of this Residency is the continuation of my sculpture body.

I created 10 smaller armatures as the foundation of the work. Combining traditional Southeastern design through the integration of beadwork and figurative compositions. Influenced from our effigies, pottery, architecture, storytelling, tattooing, regalia, and other examples of traditional heritage perseverance.

As I work over the next 2.5 months, these 10 works will be molded. Then I will be doing the wax to get them cast ready. It's exciting to keep exploring these works and narratives with support.
